It's the season where the beautiful Jacaranda trees starts blooming! So I went on an adventure to some of the popular points of interest to show you how beautiful they are!

1. The University of Queensland

Forgan Smith Building (1), one of the heritage-listed sandstone cloisters enclosing the Great Court.

Steele Building (3)

Saw this shy Masked Lapwing near Forgan Smith Lawns

UQ Lakes

Love the reflection!

2. Woolloongabba

Woolloongabba Busway Station. Bus Route 29 runs from UQ Lakes station to Woolloongabba station

Brisbane Cricket Grounds, aka The Gabba

3. Kangaroo Point

Took the bus from Woolloongabba station to Main St. Walked along the Kangaroo Point Riverwalk for quite a while to get this view. Brisbane CBD as viewed from Kangaroo Point Cliffs

Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry Ice Cream to cool myself down

Kangaroo Point Cliffs. I was a little bit trembling (not that I have fear of heights) whilst taking this photo from a very steep flight of stairs.

St Mary's Anglican Church

4. City Reach Boardwalk

I crossed the river from Thornton Street Pier just below the Cliffs to Eagle Street Pier with the CityFerry. Walked quite a bit to Boundary Street just to get this shot and walked to the CBD. (It's a long walk just in case you don't know)

5. Cathedral of St Stephen

This is the side door of the Cathedral. There was too much shadow to shoot from the front and there's a wedding going on as well.

6. Queensland Parliament House, Brisbane

Parliament House, George St, near QUT Gardens Point. Saw another wedding just in front this. The City Botanic Gardens is actually opposite this Parliament House so hence the newly weds and their guests were mingling around.  So that's about it for my adventure today. Guess how many steps I walked today....... Record-breaking! The highest temp today was 30℃ and all I had was a pair of sunnies. Good enough. Shorts, no hat, no sunscreen. So I ended up with a sunburnt scalp and super tanned face (except around my eyes), neck, arms and legs. Haha!  So that's about it for my adventure from 8:30am to 5:30pm today. Thank you so much to those who stopped by and read this until the end! Do drop your email on the chatbox on the right so I know who you are. Or you can just comment below. Hehe.  Till next time! xx

"Brisbane Open House is a free event, providing residents and visitors with the rare opportunity to discover the hidden wealth of architecture, engineering and history in buildings and places around Brisbane city.

Held annually in conjunction with World Architecture Day, selected buildings are opened for the public with guided and self-guided tours to encourage them to explore, re-examine and engage with Brisbane's built environment - opening eyes and minds to good design and curious spaces."

But 3 is enough to blow my mind! It's a must-do for me next year then!

Hello! I don't know what brings me back to this blog again but I finally have time to do a proper blog post during this winter break! Nevertheless, I do remember somebody telling me to keep a blog to have something to look back in the future.

I read about this post a few months ago and I still read it from time to time. I find it very meaningful so I just wanna share it here.

1. Go on as many adventures as possible.
I hope you're going everywhere and doing everything. Hang out with your friends. Travel a lot. See as much of the world as possible. Try as many exotic foods as you can. Climb mountains. Join Fun Runs. Go diving and skydiving. Explore this beautiful world. I hope you're starting to check off items on your bucket list because one day, when we're finally together, I would like to hear all about it. One day you will share all those stories with me, and maybe we'll try to do them together too.

2. Find yourself.
I hope you're taking time to get to know yourself. Take time analysing what you really want to do in life. Love yourself and be strong for yourself. Some people enjoy being needed but what I like is to be wanted. You are your own person and I hope you know that you don't need anyone to complete you. One day we will be there for each other not because we can't live without each other but because life is much more colourful when we're together.

3. Live your life.
I hoe you're taking risks. I hope you're not hiding under the covers to make as few mistakes as possible. Go out and make good and bad decisions. Do not be afraid of pain or failures. They are there to make you appreciate the good things. I hope you're as in love with life as I am. Enjoy the sweetness and bitterness of this roller coaster ride. Life is short and I don't want you missing out on anything.

4. Take good care of yourself.
I hope you're keeping yourself healthy and fit. Eat vegetables. Eat fruits. Hydrate. Get as much sleep as you can - more than you think you need. Exercise. Do all these for yourself and for me, and for our future kids. One day when we're already both wrinkly, we will enjoy the senior citizen benefits together. We will play bingo and have weekly brunch with all of our children and their children. Take good care of yourself because I would like to grow old with you.

5. Pray for us.
I hope you're praying with me every night before sleeping. I hope you're praying for me as much as I am praying for you. Pray that we may meet. In the right place. In the right time. Because I'm hoping and praying for the same thing, too.

This is a spare blog I've created many many years ago. I deleted my previous blog I've been writing in my early high school years after finding it too immature for myself to read. I won't be writing much in this blog but I'll do when I feel inspired. If you happen to stumble across this page, good for you :) Oh, and checkout my bucket list on the right! I do update from time to time. Help/join me if you can ;)
